Our outpatient services are designed for those patients who need a creative and caring approach to work through issues in a comfortable and relaxed environment. We use a solution-based and strength building curriculum to meet specific needs and overall treatment plan objectives and goals of our patients.

Dr. Ronald Wilson at ADAPT Counseling Services offers counseling to individuals, groups, couples, and families. Our primary objective and goal is to assist patients towards achieving peace, harmony, and positive growth, as well as, regain control of their lives. Dr. Wilson is qualified to treat a diverse client population of both adults and teenagers with complex and serious issues such as substance abuse, addiction, anger management, domestic violence, mental and behavioral health, marriage, relationships, family, and parenting counseling.

MENTAL HEALTH AND BEHAVIORAL COUNSELING

This service is offered primarily in an individual psychotherapy setting. Patients that are typically appropriate for this mode of counseling are those individuals who may be suffering from some of the following mental and/or behavioral disorders: Major Depression, Generalized Anxiety, Bi-Polar, PTSD, OCD, Adjustment and Personality Disorders. We are committed to give all of our patients a safe, comfortable, and confidential place to process their thoughts and feelings. We assist  our patients with coping skills to better manage their symptoms and live a happier, more productive lifestyle.

MARITAL AND COUPLES COUNSELING

We counsel patients who are encountering problematic obstacles within their relationships or marriages. Some of these problem issues may include: trust, communication, intimacy, abuse, infidelities, conflict resolution, etc. ADAPT uses a problem focused approach to encourage open, sharing dialogue between partners.


INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING

Individual counseling services  assist patients with specific individual therapy. Patients learn effective ways to overcome and cope with their problems and better manage their daily lives. In individual counseling, the doctor will access a wide range of therapeutic approaches that fit each patient’s treatment plan needs and goals.

ALCOHOL AND DRUG EDUCATION PROGRAM

This education service is for individuals who have received their first alcohol or drug related offense or are just beginning to experience problems related to their substance use. Also, patients appropriate for this educational program may or may not meet the criteria for chemical abuse.


ALCOHOL/DRUG

OUTPATIENT TREATMENT

This balanced education treatment program is for those who have recurrent use related legal or other problems. For example, a patient referred to this program may have two or more DUIs. Also, this patient may be experiencing problems at home, work, or school and may have had a prior treatment experience. Patients appropriate for this program usually meet the criteria for substance abuse or dependency.

PROGRAMS:

ANGER MANAGEMENT BATTERER'S INTERVENTION

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE 

These intervention programs specifically target those individuals who have anger or domestic violence problems at home or in the community. These specialized counseling programs treat patients that may experience frequent episodes of anger or are perpetrators of domestic violence. We will assist patients in developing effective strategies and positive techniques to better manage their anger, domestic violence, and other psychological stressors occurring in their lives. 


MILITARY BENEFIT SERVICES

Dr. Wilson will work with any attorney that provides Military Veteran Benefit Services. Dr. Wilson provides telephonic and in-person clinical interviews and objective assessment reports supported by evidence-based research and collective statements to assist United States military veterans with obtaining deserved disability claims. A primary goal is to suggest an appropriate new diagnosis based on DSM-5 diagnostic criteria or re-affirm a previous service-connected diagnosis of veterans. This is primarily accomplished through assessment, subjective report of recurrent symptoms, testing, clinical research, supporting mental, medical, interpersonal, and vocational statements.
